If you’re a fan of the hit series, a trip to see where Call the Midwife is filmed should be top of your bucket list!

We will arrive in the dockyards in time to freshen up with tea/coffee & biscuits before our 60 minute tour begins at midday.

Walk in the footsteps of Nurse Trixie Franklin, Sister Julienne and Dr Turner and explore where the real drama happens. The walking tour is led by your very own costumed midwife. Along the tour you’ll recognise the cobbled streets and buildings of ‘Poplar’ plus iconic locations such as the Grosvenor Hotel and ‘Chummy’s Hill’, where Nurse Noakes famously learnt to ride her bike. With a picture book to help trigger your memories, you’ll see just how Neal Street Productions transform 400 year old Chatham dockyard into to East London. The tour culminates with our exclusive Call the Midwife exhibition containing set, props and costumes.

Please note that this is a walking tour with some uneven surfaces, please ensure you wear comfortable foot wear.

Your ticket also allows to you explore the rest of the dockyard, and incudes an optional guided tour of the Ropery at 2:30pm, plus a submarine tour (you must book a time for this on the day when you arrive).
